Squirrel and Pita: A Brief Crticial Analysis

What do these photos represent? What does the squirrel mean or rather what do the squirrel and the pita in tandem represent? Is the squirrel man and the pita nature or perhaps the squirrel represents God holding the world in His hands and just, you know, taking off a nip now and then which could represent Death itself which has been a leitmotif of this website.

Look into the eyes of the squirrel and try to imagine his thoughts. He might have the weight of the universe on his shoulders if he is indeed God come to check up on Earth disguised as a squirrel. Look deeply and you may see untold galaxies glinting in the inky blackness of those rodent eyes. Or perhaps he is simply thinking “Why is that fat guy over there taking my picture?” This, of course assuming he was simply a squirrel with the ability to reason, the wherewithal to ponder causality and the understanding of what a camera does. Not to mention that he would have to be an English-speaking squirrel.

The simplest possibility of course is simply that the squirrel is an animal consuming food and operating on pure and nonverbal instinct. But what is the fun in supposing that? It is much better to imagine fanciful lies than boring fact, is it not? After all this is not a website devoted to scientific inquiry. I am not obliged to apply Occam’s Razor to this situation. I am not in fact obliged to do anything, including writing a suitable ending to this entry.
