3/31/17 Clouds Are Unobtrusive

Back to the rain and cold which for some reason this morning was oddly comforting.  The sun is sometimes like a noisy neighbor or a morning-person relative charging into your quiet space throwing open curtains and demanding you do things because "Look at what a beautiful day it is". The grey drizzle morning was perfect for listening to Leadbelly and getting some work done at the office.  It would be more perfect for reading for pleasure but I gotta pay some of the bills while I still can before the corporate world decides it's had enough of me and puts me out by the curb with all the other worn out office furniture. There'll be more time to read when that happens.

3/30/17 Just Showing Up

Around 60 degrees today I think.   Little bit of rain tonight. Long meeting at work today with senior management.   Wore a nice shirt,  spoke as little as possible and said smart sounding things when I did.  On such activities is a large chunk of our economy based. Then I  came home and doodled on the wall in death's waiting room.   Another wholly unremarkable day, but now it's documented.

It's a little warmer. When I restarted I said to myself I wouldn't do picture posts.  I lied, or rather I wound up being incorrect. I don't know if the warm(er, so some people this isn't warm yet) weather is going to hold.  I'll find out when you do or did.

3/28/17 Gray/Grey

Needs a new one for whatever this is I'm doing now.  I'd say I'm open to suggestions but this is still an unfurnished, empty room that I'm pacing and practicing and waiting in. Dangling a preposition that it may be hit over a fence? It's still gray and cold out.  Grey and cold out.  Grey is colder than gray.  Gray is more of a color, Grey is a feeling.  I don't know what the temperature break is between gray and grey but if it's damp it's definitely grey, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. (Delete) There was something dumb above this line so  I got rid of it. I'm trying to figure out if this room echoes or not.  It definitely has wood floors, they clunk and creak with every step.  The door closes with authority.  I think there's a ceiling fan and I don't know if the room ever gets warm enough to need air conditioning.  I'll think about it.

3/27/17 The Day After We Wound Up Observing Earth Hour Anyway

Power went out for a few hours last night.  Not a big deal, read until it got too dark to read without candles and then went out to dinner.  Came home and the power was back.  Saved a couple hours off the electric bill and inadvertently observed Earth Hour a day late.  Whoopee. Raw and cold today.  Spring is present only in terms of more hours of daylight.   There's a blue lighthouse that hangs in one of our dining room windows that's a memorial to my mother. There's a pewter beer mug that my father was given when he retired from the military that sits atop a cabinet that belonged to my parents that I have now. There's a little Yeti toy in that mug that my great niece gave me a few years ago. It's good to be surrounded.

3/25/17 Tiny Typing

This is new.   Putting something up from a phone. It was warmer today.  Feels like the beginning of spring so why did I buy that Osso Bucco at the market?  Probably won't cook it for a while. Still pretty anonymous out here which is fine.  It'll be weird when someone finally stumbles back across it. I might actually observe Earth Hour if they didn't have it in the middle of Hockey Night in Canada.

3/24/17 The Shaky Status Quo

Teeth are reattached for now. It's still kind of cold out but not terrible.  Weekend is supposed to be warmer but rainy. Other words are hiding today.  Maybe tomorrow.
